Motor starter
Motor starter

starttec tailored to the requirements of material-handling applications
The concept of the starttec motor starter is based on experience with the 8200 motec motor inverter and Lenze know-how about decentralised drive systems, creating a complete and seamless system for variable speed motors and fixed speed motors.
Advantages of the starttec motor starter over conventional switch units:
economic
- simple product range:
 - one size for 0.25 - 4.0 kW power range
 - soft start reduces the stress on mechanical components
 - power bus reduces installation costs
 - integrated brake control (option) with adjustable time delay reduces the load on the PLC non-wearing, even with frequent starts
 - reduced downtime through error reset option

Reliable
- commissioning without expert know-how
 - reduction of high start-up currents
 - integrated motor protection through overload or temperature protection (PTC/thermal contact))
 - robust with high protection class IP65/NEMA 4
 - high plant availability through error reset option
 - status display directly on the starttec

Versatile
- optimum accessibility through wall or motor-mounted design
control via
- digital inputs/outputs and/or
- fieldbuses (INTERBUS, PROFIBUS DP, CAN (system bus), AS interface,. . .) - collection and combination of input signals to be transmitted to the PLC/fieldbus
 - two-motor operation or reversing (option)
 - adjustable overload trips
