Disco variable speed geared motors
Disco variable speed geared motors
Lenze Disco variable speed drives are planetary gearboxes in which the power is transmitted by friction. The air gap is set using an adjusting spindle so that the planets can move on differing radii.
The output speed can hence be adjusted continuously within a range of 6:1. The planetary principle results in optimal torque split so that great power can be transmitted coaxially despite small dimensions. The product range includes eight different sizes with a range of performance from 0.25 to 7.5 kW.
High quality of material and manufacturing in the moving parts results in silent, vibration-free running. The enclosed all-metal housing and the functional parts being immersed in an oil bath make the Disco variable speed drive resistant to external influences.
